The most prominent mountain
on the eastern skyline of the Olympics, The Brothers South Peak tops out
at 6866'. Panaramic views from here include all of Puget Sound.
The standard approach is via the
Lower Lena Lake trail and through the Valley of Silent Men. This waterfall
is at the second bridge above Lower Lena Lake.

Pillow lava, scree slopes, snow
fields and ice caves made for a variety of challenges.

Views from the top. Puget Sound
circles the eastern horizon and the vastness of the Olympics is apparent
when looking west. The mountains to the southwest (center photo) are Mount
Washington and Mount Ellinor.
